Bread Subscriptions
Based on popular demand, I'm introducing a weekly or fortnightly subscription for my signature artisan and tinned loaves each Friday during term time only. Please do read the FAQs below which explain how this subscription service works.
FAQs for Bread Subscriptions
How does the bread subscription work? How Direct Debit works Direct Debits are taken each Tuesday and cover your bread order for that Friday of the same week. Your first bread order will begin in the week of your first successful Direct Debit, and payments will then continue each Tuesday until you pause or cancel your subscription. To allow time for the Direct Debit to activate, new subscriptions must be set up by Thursday at 4pm for the following Tuesday’s payment, as Direct Debits require at least four business days to take effect. Please keep an eye out for an email confirming that your Direct Debit has been approved. If you don’t receive a confirmation, please contact me so I can check that your subscription has been set up correctly.
Cancelling or pausing your subscription If you’d like to cancel or pause your subscription, please give at least one week’s written notice, by 5pm on the Tuesday before the next Direct Debit is due. You can let me know by: •Email: karen@karenjaquesyu.com, or •WhatsApp: +44 7457 417984 Where possible, I’d really appreciate a little extra notice to help with planning.
Who is the payment provider for your direct debit? Direct Debits are collected via GoCardless, a secure and widely used payment collection service. You can find more information on their website if helpful. Website: https://gocardless.com
Bread subscription availability Bread subscriptions are available during UK Surrey term time only. I will always do my best to give at least two weeks’ notice if I need to pause or cancel a subscription from my side. If I’m unable to bake on a Friday due to unforeseen circumstances, you will of course receive a full refund for that week’s subscription.
Bread collection logistics Bread collection takes place every Friday between 2:30–3:30pm, with porch pick-up available from 3:30pm onwards. When you start your bread subscription, you’ll receive a confirmation email from me with the collection address. I’m based in The Sands, Farnham (GU10). As I have young children, I don’t publish my home address on my website, but I’ll always share it with you once your Direct Debit has been set up.
